A corporate email address on your own domain (for example name@yourcompany.com) looks more professional than a free address and builds trust. This guide explains how to set one up with Yandex’s business email service, starting from adding your domain to the DNS records that make delivery reliable. Availability, pricing and the interface can change, so check the current service before you start.

What Is Yandex Connect?

Yandex Connect is the former name of Yandex’s corporate email and workspace platform. The current service is called Yandex 360 for Business, and administration is done there.

What You Need

A domain you own and access to its DNS settings. See how to choose an SEO-friendly domain name, what is hosting and how to build a website.

Setup Stages

Create the Yandex 360 for Business Account

  1. Create an admin Yandex account.
  2. Log in to the Yandex 360 for Business panel.
  3. Choose the right subscription plan.

Add the Domain

Add your domain in the admin panel, then verify ownership.

Verify Domain Ownership

  • DNS record: add a TXT record with the code Yandex gives you.
  • HTML file: upload a verification file to your site.
  • Meta tag: add a tag to your homepage.

Verification can take from minutes to hours depending on DNS propagation.

Domain Delegation vs. Manual DNS

Yandex can offer to manage your DNS by delegating nameservers, or you can add records manually at your current DNS provider. If you change nameservers, all existing records (A, CNAME, www, subdomains) must be recreated in the new DNS panel, or your website may stop opening.

MX Records

Add the MX record Yandex provides so mail is delivered to Yandex servers. Remove old MX records for other mail providers if they would conflict.

SPF, DKIM and DMARC

  • SPF lists which servers may send mail for your domain. Use only one SPF record.
  • DKIM signs messages so receivers can check they are genuine.
  • DMARC tells receivers what to do with messages that fail checks.
RecordPurpose
MXWhere incoming mail is delivered
SPFWhich servers may send for your domain
DKIMA cryptographic signature on outgoing mail
DMARCThe policy for failed checks and reports

Create Employee Accounts

Add users one by one or in bulk with a CSV file. Choose a consistent username standard (for example firstname.lastname).

Mail Clients (Outlook and Others)

Use the IMAP and SMTP settings Yandex provides. Use the full address as the username, enable IMAP access, use an app password if required, IMAP port 993 and SMTP port 465 with SSL.

Troubleshooting

  • The domain won’t verify. The TXT record may be on the wrong host, the code incompletely copied, the DNS not yet propagated, or added at the wrong DNS provider.
  • Mail isn’t received. Check the MX record, remove old MX records, confirm the domain is verified and the user mailbox is active.
  • Mail can’t be sent. Check SMTP authentication, username, app password, port and SSL settings, and whether the account is blocked.
  • Messages go to spam. Check SPF, DKIM, DMARC, domain reputation, content, sending frequency and any bulk-sending system.
  • Outlook doesn’t accept the password. Use the full email address, enable IMAP, create an app password and check ports.
  • The website stopped opening after changing DNS. If you changed nameservers, add all A, CNAME, www and subdomain records to the new DNS panel.

Checklist

Domain added and verified, MX set, old MX removed, SPF added once, DKIM enabled, DMARC published, accounts created, mail client tested and spam delivery checked.
